Creative project Wood you like to sit 2: Adults make minis
For adults in art academies or vocational training, tree surgeons, wood engravers, turners, hobbyists …
If you feel like expressing yourself creatively in wood, then this is the project for you. The challenge: make a stool based on the African stools and the exhibition Knock on Wood!.
Stools made from rediscovered wood, hard cardboard, or oak, stools that have been lashed, glued, screwed or nailed together, all are welcome.
Specifically for this creative project about 20 chairs and stools from the museum's extensive collection are being displayed to illustrate the diversity in shape, design and material. The stools can be admired right next to the entrance of the exhibition Knock on Wood!.
Those interested can contact the Museum before the end of February 2008 on the number 02 / 769 52 45 or reservations@africamuseum.be
Participation should be confirmed on or before 7 March. The number of participants is limited. Projects can be delivered up to 11 April 2008.
